Police Seize 57 Motorcycles, Issue 224 Summons Under ‘Ops Sepadu’



KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 – Fifty-seven motorcycles were seized and 224 summonses issued under ‘Ops Sepadu’ carried out in and around Bangsar and other parts of the capital, here last night. Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police chief ACP Mohd Nadzri Hussain said the nearly five-hour integrated operation which ended at about 2am and involved various agencies including the Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Road Transport Department and the Land Public Transport Commission.

“The summons issued were for various offences, among them registration plates that did not conform to the legal requirements, no driver’s licence, expired licence, failure to display ‘P’ stickers (new licence holders) and drivers not wearing seatbelts,” he said in a statement here today.
