Motorcyclist Who Fell From Penang Bridge Rescued By Fisherman



GEORGE TOWN, March 29 – A motorcyclist who fell into the sea at 7.9km of the Penang Bridge after being hit by a lorry was miraculously saved by a fisherman who was fishing in the area. Mohd Ashraff Mohd Fauzi, 28, who fractured his left leg in the accident was later sent to the Penang Hospital.

Jalan Perak Fire and Rescue Department’s senior officer II Mohd Asri Abd Wahab said during the 9am incident, the motorcyclist had lost control of his bike and hit a lorry before plunging into the sea. Mohd Ashraff was on his way to work in Perai, said Mohd Asri when contacted, here today. The driver of the lorry did not stop or lodge a report.
