Penang Umno Youth Lodge Police Report Over Connection Between MBPP Councillor And Phang



GEORGE TOWN, Apr 1 – Penang Umno Youth lodged police report again over the issue of the business links between Penang Island City Council (MBPP), Tan Chiew Choon and Phang Li Koon, who sold her house to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at RM2.8 million. Penang Umno Youth deputy chief Jasmin Bin Noordin claimed that the councillor for Penang Island City Council (MBPP) is a senior manager in Winbond Management and Consultant Sdn Bhd.

“It is interesting that Phang is a 20 per cent shareholder in Winbond Management while Tang Yong Chew is a the 80 per cent shareholder in it. Meanwhile, Tang Yong Chew is also a 70 per cent shareholder of Kuala Lumpur International Dental Centre (KLIDC), the company that bought the Taman Manggis land from Penang State Government,” he said.

“Therefore, we are here today to lodge a police report and hand over the relevant documents to the police to investigate the links between Tan, Phang and Tang,” Jasmin told the reporters after lodged police report at the Northeast district police headquarters here this morning.
