GEORGE TOWN, April 2 – Police have completed the investigation papers pertaining to the contents of a statutory declaration (SD) by Phang Li Koon, who sold her house to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at RM2.8 million, said Northeast District Police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid.
“The investigation papers of a SD by Phang have completed and it would be submitted to the Attorney-General’s Office on next week. Meanwhile, police has also formed a special team at Bukit Aman to investigate the case in futher directive,” Mior told reporters here today.
“We believe the investigation on the contents of the Phang’s SD for the fake contents that contained some inaccurate information had been completed. We recorded 10 statements, including from Phang and commissioner of oath to help in investigation and the investigation papers will be referred to the AG’s Office soon,” he said
A businesswoman Phang has went to the George Town District police headquarters yesterday morning at 9:30am with two man, who believe is her lawyer. Earlier, several police reports had been lodged by Barisan Nasional (BN) and non governmental organisations against Phang’s SD was fake as the contents contained some inaccurate information.
Phang claimed that she did not survey the market price for the bungalow before she sale because it was necessary. In the meantime, Phang also said that she did not benefit from the state government from the sale of the bungalow, and she was not pressured or coerced or influenced in an unappropriate manner by Lim or any party to sell the unit.
