GEORGE TOWN, Apr 2 – Police detained two men and a woman for allegedly involvement in robbery incident at Bukit Jambul shopping mall’s parking spaces on late Wednesday. Northeast District Police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the suspects aged between 19 and 23 were arrested at a flat in Jelutong about 1:00pm today.
He said in the tree suspects, the girl suspects are working at the mall while another two men suspect is unemployed. He said police were seized the valuables at a budget hotel in Georgetown while the weapon that used during the incident nearby the scene were seized near Bukit Jambul.
He said police believe that the suspects have been monitored the victim for a period of time before the incident happen. He told this to the reporters after visiting the victim at a private hospital in Bayan Baru here today. He said that the further investigation is still ongoing and the case will being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery.
The incident were happen at Bukit Jambul shopping mall’s parking spaces on late Wednesday about 11.30pm, a 41-year-old shopkeeper’s robbed by two man came on a motorcycle from behind while one of the suspect slashed her left hand. She lost RM12,000, a mobile phone, a handbag and several personal identification documents.
