KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 – Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) today announced that the party will be contesting 13 seats in the coming 11th Sarawak state election. Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub when making the announcement said the party had already finalised the names of the candidates who will be contesting.
“In our monthly meeting today, we have decided to contest 13 seats in the Sarawak state election, but we can’t tell which seats yet but it will be both rural and urban seats. The candidates list will be out soon, but I can confirm here today that all of them are locals. The PAS splinter would contest against PAS if they get in the way. We are not looking to contest against PAS, but if they get in the way, then we won’t have a choice,” he told a press conference here.
