KUCHING, April 14 – The number 11 seems to hold special significance for the coming Sarawak state election. The Sarawak assembly was dissolved on April 11 to pave the way for the 11th state election. The 11th Sarawak Chief Minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem, will lead the State Barisan Nasional in a battlefield that the recent redelineation exercise had enlarged from 71 to 82 constituencies – an addition of 11 seats. Nominations will be held on April 25 – 11 days after the Election Commission met today. The EC set aside 11 days for campaigning before polling on May 7.
