KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 – Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) has made it easy and convenient for consumers to apply for new water supply accounts through its online customer service portal. SYABAS in a statement Monday said instead of having to go to its office, the process of applying for a new water supply account was now simple and quicker via https://eser.syabas.com.my/syabascsp/
“Historically, the process of applying for a new water supply account involved a considerable number of procedural steps, which require the customer to provide documentary evidence and submit it at SYABAS office counters. The application process has been considerably improved, reducing the number of forms, and vastly speeding up the overall application process,” the statement said.
SYABAS said the application for new water supply accounts has been made especially easier for tenants as they do not need to provide documents from the owner or landlord to apply for a new water supply account. However it said, should the owner or landlord eventually decide to disconnect the water supply to the premises, SYABAS would comply with the owner or landlord’s request. According to SYABAS, applicants for new water supply accounts would still have to pay for stamp duty and deposit is refundable.
