IPOH, April 19 – Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd founder Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman yesterday lodged a police report after her Facebook account was hacked. Popularly known as ‘Datuk Seri Vida’, she also lodged a report against another individual who opened a Facebook account impersonating her.

On Thursday at 1am, she detected a Facebook account impersonating her and duping about one million people in the social site. She said many of her photographs were uploaded in the Facebook. She said the captions on the pictures were also like those she typed in the Instagram she own.

She said that the owner of the account promised lucrative prizes to the followers such as free branded handbags. She told this to reporters after lodging a police report at the Jelapang police station here at 3.30 pm. Hasmiza said, on the same day, she uploaded a status in her Facebook about the cheating, but a few hours later she could not access her Facebook account as it was hacked. Jelapang police station chief Insp Rashidi Othman confirmed receiving the report.
