KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 – The ringgit eased against the US dollar in the early session Thursday on profit-taking after recording gains for two consecutive days. As of 9.10 am, the domestic unit depreciated to 3.8900/8980 against the greenback from yesterday’s close at 3.8660/8720. Meanwhile, the ringgit was mostly lower versus other major currencies.
It declined against the British pound at 5.5732/5862 from 5.5566/5660 on Wednesday and was slightly lower against the euro at 4.3953/4059 from 4.3933/3017 yesterday. It fell against the Singapore dollar at 2.8888/8964 from Wednesday’s 2.8857/8911. The ringgit went up against the yen at 3.5454/5543 from 3.5481/5539.
