KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 – Come April 30, consumers in parts of Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Langat will face temporary water supply disruption due to replacement works to upgrade equipment to improve water distribution in the areas. Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) Sdn Bhd said the replacement works from 4am to 8pm were part of ongoing efforts to improve the water distribution system.
It in a statement here today said water supply will resume between 12 hours and 72 hours, depending on the distance of the premises from the reservoirs. A total of 54 areas in Klang and Shah Alam will be affected, including Sobena Jaya, Pandamaran; Taman Radzi/Telok Gadong Besar; Telok Gadong Besar; Telok Gadong Kecik; Persiaran Raja Muda Musa; Kg Raja Uda; Teluk Gedung Indah Flats; Teluk Gedung Indah B terrace houses; Taman Berembang housing area; Pandamaran Indah Flats and Pendamar Indah housing area.
Jalan Tengku Badar; Jalan Kastam/Jalan Sg Keladi; Jalan Kem; Jalan Raya Barat; Taman Selatan; Taman Petaling Indah; Taman Palm Grove; Taman Chi Liung; Taman Gembira; Taman Sri Andalas; Taman Melawis; Bukit Tinggi 1 and Bukit Tinggi 2; Bandar Botanik; Ambang Botanik; Bayu Emas and Bandar Parkland.
It will also involve Glenmarie Cove; Bandar Puteri; Bandar Putera 2; Taman Bayu Perdana; Taman Rakyat Andalas; Taman Andalas Permai, Bandar Bestari Jaya; Jalan Seri Sarawak 14 to 21, Taman Seri Andalas; Taman Sentosa; Taman Klang Jaya; Taman Desawan; part of Jalan Johan Setia; Bayu Tinggi; Pandamaran, Kampung Pendamar; Glenn Cruise; Westport; Kota Pendamar; Taman Teluk Gedung Indah; Pulau Ketam; Pulau Indah Fasa 1; Pulau Indah Fasa 2; Kg Pulau Indah; Laguna Park; Kg Telok Gong; Taman Armada Putera and Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).
Eleven areas in Kuala Langat are Batu 7 Sejangkang, Batu 8 Sijangkang, Batu 9 Kampung Medan, Taman Desa Sijangkang, Taman Riveria Perdana, Taman Permai Sijangkang, Taman Sijangkang Indah, Taman Medan Indah, Taman Perwira, Taman Sijangkang Jaya and Taman Sri Medan. SYABAS has advised consumers to store sufficient water supply during the temporary disruption.
