SSM Introduces 2 Short Films Increasing Awareness Of Business Registration

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 – The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) Tuesday introduced two short films, ‘Tulus’ and ‘Tekad’ to raise public awareness on the importance of registering companies or their respective businesses. Both the short films directed by Tam Suhaimi, which lasts five minutes each display real situations of traders and entrepreneurs who face problems for not registering their businesses, besides promoting the services offered by SSM.

Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Jamil Salleh said that through the films, he could briefly introduce SSM’s role and products, and a solid approach through the drama seen as having a greater impact on the audience.

“All segments of society who have their own businesses, such as online traders also need to know how to properly register their business so that risks of being cheated, products being plagiarised and so on can be avoided. The public could watch the two short films on SSM’s Facebook, ‘Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (Official site)’ and SSM’s official website, starting on Tuesday night,” he told reporters after the ‘The Red Carpet SSM Short Film’ here Tuesday night.
