KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 – Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) is bullish on market prospects and expects its enterprise segment to register a higher contribution to the group’s total revenue this year. TM’s Enterprise Sales Executive Vice President, Wan Ahmad Kamal Wan Halim said the segment contributed 16 per cent to the group’s revenue in 2015, up from a healthy single-digit contribution previously. He said for this year, he is very confident that the segment will grow more than 16 per cent.
He told this to the reporters after delivering a presentation at the TM Biz Fusion 2016 conference here, today. As of today, TM had more than 10,000 enterprise segment customers comprising medium enterprises and large firms. He said the market seems to be quite bullish now, and they are cautiously optimistic in the second quarter and beyond, as they have seen a lot of opportunities in the marketplace across all different industries.
On today’s event, Wan Ahmad Kamal said it was aimed at creating awareness and showcasing TM’s integrated connectivity and information and communications technology (ICT) solutions and services to key customers from the manufacturing and retail industries. He said as the market is very competitive, it is important for the retailers to create something different in the marketplace.
