PUTRAJAYA, May 9 – The new governor of Bank Negara, Datuk Muhammad Ibrahim, on Monday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his office at Perdana Putra here. Muhammad assumed the post on May 1 for a five-year period, succeeding Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz who retired after 16 years as the governor of the central bank. Muhammad was accompanied by two senior officers of Bank Negara at the meeting with Najib.
