KUCHING, May 9 – Sarawak’s Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem and his wife expressed their heartful condolences to family members of victims of the helicopter mishap near Sebuyau, some 250km from here last Thursday. In the helicopter crash, five people died including the Plantation Industries and Commodities deputy minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon.
In the meantime, he also in a press statement released here Sunday said that the victims of the helicopter will always be remmembered for their sacrifice which have all been to ensure the well being and the continuous development of Sarawak and the country.
Of the six people on board, so far, the search team has found the bodies of Plantation Industries and Commodities deputy minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon, her husband Asmuni Abdullah, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad, who is also Malaysian Palm Oil Board chairman, the ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai and Noriah’s bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun. The search operation to locate the Filipino pilot, Capt Rudolf Rex Ragas is on-going.
