Strong Winds, Choppy Sea From Monday To Friday
KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 – An alert on strong winds and choppy sea (first category) expected to hit the Phuket waters from Monday to Friday has been issued by the Meteorology Department. It said in a statement that strong south-westerly winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour and waves reaching a height of 3.5 metres are expected to occur in the area. The condition is dangerous to small boats, sea recreation and sports, the statement said.
