MACC Officers Visited Lim Bungalow This Afternoon
GEORGE TOWN, May 22 – A team of Malaysia Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) officials visited Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng bungalow at Pinhorn Road today. A total of two vehicles bearing federal plate numbers were seen entering the compound of the house while another was seen parked outside the house at about 3.15pm. It is unclear what the purpose of MACC’s visit is. Lawyers R.S.N. Rayer and Ramkarpal Singh arrived at 3.15pm.
They went inside the house without speaking to the press. The officers were seen leaving the house at about 4:00pm. It is learnt that Lim had cancelled all his events on Sunday to assist in the MACC probe. Earlier, Lim and his wife Betty Chew had recorded their statements with the MACC two weeks ago over purchase of a RM2.8mil bungalow in Jalan Pinhorn and the sale of land in Taman Manggis.
