KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 – The documentary ‘Syahadah 2016’, which will be aired during the fasting month of Ramadhan will show assimilation of the Islamic faith in the eastern South Korea and the life of the Muslim community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Carrying the theme ‘the Clash of Eastern-Western Islamic World’, the documentary, which enters its 11th season this year will showcase the success of Muslims at the global level, as well as highligthing the strong bond of the Muslim brotherhood. Broadcasting director-general Datuk Abu Bakar Ab Rahim said South Korea and Bosnia and Herzegovina had experienced civil war but both were able to stand strong until Wednesday.
“Apart from showcasing the culture, history and survival of the Muslim communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and South Korea, we can see that Islam is not just a religion but has also brought a lot of positive values to the people in both countries,” he said at the ‘Syahadah 2016’ press conference, here, Wednesday.
Syahadah 2016, produced by the Documentary and Magazine Unit of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), will be aired daily during Ramadhan via TV1 from June 6 at 6.30 pm, with the repeat at 5.30 am the next day. The English version of ‘Syahadah 2016’ will be aired on TV2 at 7 pm with the repeat at 10.30 am the next day, beginning June 7. The Malay version can also be viewed over TVi at 8 pm, from June 6 until July 5.
