KUCHING, May 27 – Officers and staff of the Communications and Multimedia Ministry were today told to effectively improve the quality of their services so as to give the best services to the people. Its deputy minister Datuk Jailani Johari said as public servants, the quality of their services rendered would always receive public attention.
“People are exposed to information available through the official media or social media, and they expect quality services from public servants in order to meet their needs. They hope for bureaucratic red tape to be reduced, and each problem to be solved quickly and properly. In this regard, the quality of services given by the officers and staff of this ministry needed to be improved in order to give th best to the public.”
Jailani said this at the state-level presentation of the ministry’s Excellent Service Awards 2015 (APC 2015) and Appreciation ceremony, here, last night. Ninety-nine officers and staff serving with various departments and agencies under the ministry received the APC 2015.
They are from the Broadcasting Department (48 personnel), Information Department (39), Special Affairs Department (nine), National Film Development Corporation (two) and Malaysian National News Agency (one). At the same event, 44 retirees and those who will be retiring this year were also feted.
