Bangladeshi Man Fined RM2,200 For Pimping



KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 7 – A Bangladeshi man was fined RM2,200 in default three months in jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today after he pleaded guilty to pimping. Magistrate Siti Radziah Kamarudin handed down the sentence to Mukul, 29, a labourer, who committed the offence at the Jalan Tun Razak/Jalan Pudu junction here at 9pm on April 15. He was liable to be jailed a year or fined or both. 

Deputy public prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by counsel Vincent Chew Zi Xian. In separate Magistrate’s Court, G. Suresh Kumar, 49, a father of a four-year-old girl was sentenced to eight months jail after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of a stolen motorcycle and failing to produce identification documents, last Sunday. — Bernama
