Police Cripple Aton Gang, Seize RM200,000 Worth Of Goods



KOTA KINABALU, Jun 11 – The police have crippled the Aton Gang as four of its members were arrested, along with RM200,000 worth of goods they were attempting to steal from a home in Taman Setia Likas, on June 6. Kota Kinabalu City police chief ACP M. Chandra said the suspects aged between 25 and 39 were arrested at about 9.30pm, shortly after three of the four suspects robbed the house. 

“The policemen who were patrolling the area saw a car in which there was a man acting in a suspicious manner, and upon inspection, found that the man’s other three accomplices were breaking into the house,” he told a press conference here, yesterday. 

“The police managed to arrest the suspects who had just come out of the house with the stolen goods, namely 10 branded watches, three wallets, and a video game console, all of which were estimated to be worth a total of about RM200,000. All the suspects were remanded for five days, until tomorrow,” he added. — Bernama
