Selangor MB Visits Kedah MB In Penang Hospital



GEORGE TOWN, Jun 17 – Selangor MB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin bin Ali visited Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah at the Penang Hospital here Thursday. He arrived at the hospital’s intensive care unit at 9.30pm with spending about 15 minutes with Kedah MB.

“MB was ‘very happy’ when I was entourage arrived at the Penang Hospital. He has started with therapy sessions and has begun a soft diet. He was exceptionally happy to see us come visit and I wished him a speedy recovery,” said Azmin, who visited Bashah with leaders from Penang PKR, outside the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit wards here Thursday.

“I would like to conveyed my best regards and prayers to Bashah’s family, hoping that he will be discharged soon. The family also told me that they are very happy with the care given by the Penang Hospital and I hear the equipment is also top notch. I believe our Kedah MB will be given good care here,” he added.

Ahmad Bashah is recuperating from an intestinal surgery on last Monday (June 6). He was transferred from the Kedah Medical Centre (KMC) to the Penang Hospital on the same day where he was warded at KMC on June 4 for an intestinal complication. The surgery took about six hours from 10pm to 3am.

Ahmad Bashah was admitted to the KMC about 7.15pm and was admitted to the ICU at 7.45pm that same day after he complained of dizziness while attending a meeting with Barisan Nasional (BN) state assemblymen at the Grand Alora Hotel at about 7pm on Jun 4.
