KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 24 – The Umno supreme council has unanimously decided to sack former deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir from the party. Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the unanimous decision, by the supreme council here on Friday, was taken as the duo had shared the same stage with the Opposition.

At the same conference, Najib also said the government allocation of the Perdana Leadership Foundation headed by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be stopped immediately and all employees will be given notice to quit.
