About 2,000 People Gather In Support Guan Eng At Lebuh Pantai
GEORGE TOWN, Jul 3 – About 2,000 people stand solidarity with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng which gathered at Lebuh Pantai here this morning. Clad in DAP-distributed t-shirts in green, red, orange and blue, the throng and made their way to Lebuh Chulia, then Lebuh Light and finallyat the Esplande during the 40-minute walk led by Lim.
Along the way, the crowd chanted “Pulau Pinang” (Penang) and “Lim Guan Eng” while traffic gave way and honked to show their support. The walk was organised after Lim was charged with corruption under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and Section 165 of the Penal Code at the Penang High Court here on Jun 30.
