Police Issue 232 Summonses For Various Traffic Offences In Kota Kinabalu



KOTA KINABALU, Jul 11 – The police have issued 232 summonses to motorists for various traffic offences in two operations at Jalan Kepayan here last night. Kota Kinabalu police chief, ACP M. Chandra said the operations, dubbed ‘Op Pelbagai’ and ‘Op Had Laju’, lasting almost three hours, beginning 11pm, were aimed at reducing the accident rate and curbing road bullying incidents in the city. 

“Among the offences were driving without driving licence, obstructing traffic, beating traffic lights and using (improper) vehicle modification. We have also impounded a car and a motorcycle for committing traffic offences. A total of 78 vehicles and motorcycles were screened during the operations,” he said in a statement here today. — Bernama
