GEORGE TOWN, Jul 18 – A heavy rain and strong winds hits Penang island today, causing the Penang International Airport to be flooded. Flights to and from the Penang International Airport have been delayed due to heavy rain and flooding, authorities say.
Airport Senior General Manager Arif Jaafar said no less than 14 flights were delayed. Waters subsided about 6pm and airport workers were draining floodwaters out of the terminal,” he said.
