JOHOR BARU, Jul 18 – A technician was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here today with murdering an engineer last month. However, no plea was recorded from Wong Jian Boon, 32, when the charge was read out to him by the interpreter in Mandarin.
Wong from Kulai, Johor, and works in Singapore is accused of killing Tan Chuen Take, 31, at 2759, Jalan Cempaka 36/17, Taman Indahpura, Kulai, between 8pm and 11.30pm on June 22. Magistrate Noor Aisyah Ahmad set Aug 29 for re-mention pending the post mortem report. Deputy public prosecutor Siti Asmah Zainal Ariffin appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by counsel Muhammad Ashraff Mohd Diah. — Bernama
