KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 – The Education Ministry has refuted reports which went viral on social media that that the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) Bahasa Melayu 2 papers contained racist questions. In a statement Thursday, the ministry said investigations carried out by the Examination Syndicate (LP) found that the questions were not from this year’s UPSR examination.
The statement said the actually, each question formulated by the LP for each paper has gone through an evaluation process to ensure curricular representativeness and that it meets the objectives of the subject. While expressing regret over the false reports, the ministry said the LP had always given priority to racial harmony and solidarity, especially in the context of examination papers. — Bernama
