LANGKAWI, Mar 21 – Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and the Composite Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM) Sdn. Bhd. will collaborate towards the implementation of Diploma in Aerospace Composite Manufacturing Industries at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM) Majlis Tanah, Melaka.
The Curriculum of this program is structured and implemented using DSD NOSS in Aerospace Composite Manufacturing Level 4 that entitled the students to be awarded with the Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia by DSD and Diploma in Industry by MARA upon completing their studies.
This Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) exchange held in Malaysia in conjunction with the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA’17). The ceremony took place at Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) Pavillion of LIMA’17 this morning 10:00am.
This MoA draws together the cooperation between MARA and CTRM that includes sharing of expertise in aspects of research development, education and aerospace industrial manufacturing training. Through this collaboration, KKTM Masjid Tanah, Melaka as and industrial-based technical institution will become a Teaching Factory for the Diploma of Industry in Aerospace Composite Manufacturing offered. This collaboration will benefit both; the institution as well as the industries.
The knowledge and technology smart partnerships among industrial and education sectors help to produce knowledgeable workers (K0workers) that possess the three elements of competency; technical, social & humanities and learning & methodology.
The industry-oriented training provided will allow students to work and experience the actual workplace atmosphere in the aerospace technology thus in return foresee a long-term interests in the nation in terms of the increase in value of investments in this ‘well-paid’ industry. The collaboration between MARA and CTRM also incorporate industry-oriented training development to be run in the actual workplace atmosphere and this will be the first program implemented under IPMa.
The program will help beyond knowledge transformation the which will benefit the market locally and globally. The collaboration will witness an increment in the number skilled workforce produced, to meet the target of 50% by 2020 hence able to provide adequate amount of skilled manpower to CTRM.
