Johari: Inflation To Ease Given The Decline In Global Oil Prices



KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 27 – Malaysia’s inflation, which recorded the fastest growth in eight years in February, is expected to ease given the decline in global oil prices, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani. He said if they look at current oil prices, it have come down. 

While he also said that he think that the lower price will ease the inflation rate. He told this to reporters after opening the Global Offset and Countertrade Association (GOCA) Asia Pacific Conference 2017 here today. Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of inflation, rose by 4.5% to 119.7 in February compared with 114.5 recorded in the same month last year. — Bernama
