GEORGE TOWN, Mar 30 – Disney’s No. 1 star Mickey Mouse is taking his positivity and can-do spirit on the road in Disney Junior’s latest animated series “Mickey and the Roadster Racers” at Gurney Paragon Mall here from 29th March to 4th April 2017. Now showing on Disney Junior (Astro Channel 613) every Friday at 2.30pm in Malaysia, the show for preschoolers follows Mickey and his friends Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy and Donald, on various car racing adventures.
Mickey and the gang, together with their distinctive cars which transform into roadster racers, go on adventures around the world and in their mini-metropolis, Hot Dog Hills. Off the racetrack, Minnie and Daisy run their own successful business as “Happy Helpers”, solving problems for anyone in need of a helping hand. Geared towards kids aged 2 to 7, the stories are designed to impart social and emotional lessons about friendship, teamwork, optimism and good sportsmanship.
In anticipation of the series launch, kids will have a chance to earn their very own Roadster Racer’s license when they visit the first Mickey and the Roadster Racers Carnival in Penang. Kids can ride, race and play to earn their Roadster Racer’s license, get up close with Mickey himself, and enjoy other fun racing activities. There were also Mickey’s 20ft truck parked at Kelawei entrance.
Besides meeting Mickey on 1st and 2nd April, kids can also take part in the Disney themed art & craft workshop, indulge in PETROSAINS car simulator game and also purchase their favourite Disney merchandise at the merchandise selling booth. All the activities are open for free for families and kids aged 2 and above subject to terms and conditions. The “Mickey and the Roadster Racers” carnival will be here for 7 days only, so be sure to pop into Gurney Paragon Mall to catch Mickey and gang while they are still here.
