Salleh: Govt Always Concerned On Needs, Problems Of Educators
KOTA BELUD, Apr 2 – The government is always concerned about the needs and problems faced by educators in the effort to produce Generation Y human capital, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak. He said the national education plan had outlined the efforts towards strengthening education in rural areas and closing the gap between urban and rural areas.
“The cooperation of all parties is needed to produce this human capital and I understand that the role of parents and Parent-Teacher Associations in building this human capital has intensified. Parents and the community play an important role in contributing ideas to improve facilities in schools … this contribution must be appreciated,” he said.
Salleh was speaking at the launch of a community event at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan SMK Taun Gusi 2, here today. At the event, Salleh, who is also the assemblyman for Usukan, approved an RM11,000 allocation for various activities in the school. — Bernama
