SINGAPORE, Apr 3 – Japanese rock band RADWIMPS adds Singapore to Asian tour stops in June. After releasing their newest album, “Ningen Kaika” (Human Bloom), Japanese rock band, RADWIMPS had previously announced their Asian tour for 2017, visiting countries such as as South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan.

Singapore marks the latest addition to the tour and the band will be performing at Megabox Event Hall @ Big Box on 4 June 2017. RADWIMPS 2017 Asia Live Tour in Singapore is organized by SOZO as part of the Japan Music Festival lineup. RADWIMPS previously came to Singapore and performed to a full-house crowd of adoring fans.

The band has sold millions of albums since their major debut in 2005 and has a reputation as one of the hardest live acts to score a ticket to among Japanese artistes. “Your Name (Kimi no nawa) was RADWIMP’s eighth album and was also the soundtrack for the award winning anime movie of the same name, “Your Name” (Kimi no na wa).

The album hit number 1 on Japanese music charts, Oricon. RADWMPS will first begin their Japan tour, “Human Bloom Tour 2017” with 21 shows slated in 12 cities. This includes a two-day finale at the Nippon Budoukan, one of the largest concert venues in Tokyo, on the 9th and 10th of May.

They will then kick-start their Asian tour in Singapore on 4 June 2017.  3 members of RADWIMPS will come to Singapore; Yojiro Noda (Vocal / Guitar / Piano), Akira Kuwahara (Guitar), Yusuke Takeda (Bass). Drummer, Satoshi Yamaguchi unfortunately has halted activities since 2015 due to focal dystonia. –PN
