Apartment Buyers Rage Over Project Delay

JOHOR BARU, May 10 – Buyers of apartments of a housing project in Taman Seri Molek Perdana, Plentong near here are fuming that it is still not completed. The project undertaken by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) started in 2010 and was scheduled to be completed in May 2013.

The spokesman of the 982 buyers, Mohd Fitri Yon, 35, said they were tired of listening to excuses from the developer and that they already had to service their housing loans. Meanwhile, Cosmic Master Development Sdn Bhd director, Chok Kim Sin who came to the project site to allay their fears said his company only took over the project from SPNB in 2015 and needed some more time to complete it.

SPNB group chief executive officer , Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali when contacted by Bernama said they were in discussions with Cosmic Master to resolve the issue. The buyers had bought the units at prices ranging from RM50,000 to RM250,000. — Bernama
