KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 – excitement is growing as fans eagerly await for the official opening ceremony which commences at 8pm on Saturday. Fans, spectators from all walks of life began trickling into Bukit Jalil area as early as 12pm, absorbing and enjoying the atmosphere of the Games in Bukit Jalil, while waiting the gates to open from 4pm onwards.
Tickets for today’s opening ceremony, which will also be broadcast live over television and various digital platforms, have been snapped up with more than 85,000 spectators expected to fill the stadiums.
Expect a spectacular opening show where spectators and fans will be treated with, as promised by the organisers, extraordinary and surprised elements which befits the prestigious stature and history of the region’s biggest sporting extravaganza.
The Bukit Jalil LRT station, which has been transformed into a “mini stadium”, is a hive of activity as thousand of fans and spectators start to flock into the Bukit Jalil area by using public transportation mode.
