Tan’s Gold in Gymnastics Rescinded Following Protest

PETALING JAYA, Aug 23 – Malaysia’s Tan Ing Yueh has her gold medal in the women’s balance beam event rescinded after a protest by Indonesia today. She had earlier been awarded gold in the event today. The gold was now awarded to Rifda Irfanaluthfi from Indonesia while Tan settled for silver. Kaitlin De Guzman of the Philippines won the bronze.
