1,500 To Sign For Corruption-Free Pledge



ALOR STAR, Sept 21 – A total of 1,500 participants from the state’s government agencies and local councils will take and sign the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) in a ceremony at the Combating Corruption Together (Sehati Sejiwa Memerangi Rasuah) programme in Sungai Petani on Tuesday.

Kedah Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohamad said the pledge taking ceremony would be held at Sungai Petani Municipal Council in conjunction with the MACC’s 50th Golden Jubilee celebration and the state-level “Kembara Jelajah Anti Rasuah 2017” campaign.

“Besides that, the Integrity Fun Ride programme will be held which aims 500 participants while various community activities such as the mural painting competition with the “Combating Corruption Together” theme will be organised,” he said in a statement, here today.

Mohd Fauzi added the Combating Corruption Together programme aimed to approach people from all walks of life, apart from establishing cooperation between the MACC and Kedah state government as well as other government departments and agencies. — Bernama
