GEORGE TOWN, Oct 3 – DAP secretary-general, Lim Guan Eng said they are preparing documents in relation to the directive of the Registrar of Societies (RoS) that the party conduct a re-election of the Central Executive Committee (CEC). “It is only appropriate that I address this issue at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur. I have all the facts here,” he told reporters, here today.
On July 17, the DAP received a letter from the RoS that directed the party to hold a re-election of the CEC since he did not acknowledge the result of DAP’s election on Dec 15, 2012 and re-election on Sept 29, 2013. DAP vice-chairman Teresa Kok was reported as saying the re-election was proposed for Sept 10. — Bernama
