Penang Second Bridge To Close For Cycling Event On Saturday



GEORGE TOWN, Oct 11 – The Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (JSAHMS) or Penang Second Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 12 midnight to 10am on Saturday to give way to Music Fun Run in conjunction with the 2017 National Sports Day.

Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) corporate communications deputy senior manager Azizi Azizan said motorists were advised to plan their journeys during the bridge closure to avoid any inconvenience during the period.

“Users are advised to adhere to directions and signboards put up in the vicinity,” he said in a statement here today. More than 2,400 local and foreign cyclists had registered for the ride over a maximum distance of 45km,” he added. — Bernama
