GEORGE TOWN, Dec 1 – Asia Pacific Leaders Summit (APLS) 2017 was official launched by the State Tourism Development and Culture Committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang at Royale Chulan Penang here this evening.
APLS has been held 5 years internationally in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and lately in Nepal. This year, AIESEC in Malaysia brings it back to Penang, Malaysia again where the second APLS was held in 2014.
The launching of this event was witnesses by 14 countries young leaders. They are from Mainland of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Night targeted 9 of the 17 SDGs, represented in 8 stations. All 8 stations were run simultaneously for 2 rounds. Each round will have 35 minutes, including the debrief. Delegates chose whichever SDGs that intrigued them the most and visited the stations in groups. — PN
