PH Pledges To Abolish Penang Bridge Toll Charges If PH Wins
GEORGE TOWN, Apr 13 – DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said today Pakatan Harapan (PH) will abolish the first Penang Bridge toll charges if they wins power in capturing Putrajaya in the 14th general election.
In a Facebook post, caretaker Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said PH will abolish all toll charges, not just for motorcyclists, as announced by Barisan Nasional (BN).
Calling Najib’s pledge to do away with toll for motorcyclists an empty promise, Lim urged the prime minister to first fulfil the promise to construct the light rail transit (LRT) system for both the island and the mainland.
Lim’s response came after caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak had pledged to abolish motorcycle toll charges if Barisan Nasional regains the state.
The premier made the announcement during a working visit to the Balik Pulau parliamentary constituency yesterday.
