KUALA LUMPUR, MAY 11 – Sources were quoted as saying that a chartered private jet originating from Indonesia is scheduled to land at Subang Skypark Airport in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The aircraft is expected to land at 6:00am on May 12 (Malaysian time) in Subang and scheduled to depart for Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Indonesia at 10am on the same day.

The source said this when asked about the veracity viral photograph detailing a chartered flight manifest which lists former leader and his wife as passengers. This sparked speculation that Najib was about to flee, three days after leading BN to its worst electoral outing ever.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s Pakatan Harapan (PH) defeated the Barisan Nasional-led (BN) by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in a fiercely-fought general election on Wednesday. Dr Mahathir was sworn in as the country’s seventh prime minister last night. Najib earlier attended a sombre celebration for Umno’s 72nd anniversary at the Putra World Trade Centre this evening. — PN
