
GEORGE TOWN, April 15 – Through the State Government Council (MMK) Meeting which took place yesterday (13 April 2022), the Penang State Government approved the payment of Special Financial Assistance (BKK) of half (½) a month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,200 to state civil servants. The grant to be paid on 27 April 2022 is also extended to all local authorities (PBT) and State Statutory Bodies.
In the meantime, BKK amounting to RM300 each was channeled to supervisors and teachers of Al-Quran and Fardu Ain Classes (KAFA), religious primary school teachers (SRAR), folk religion secondary school teachers (SMAR), SRAR staff, SMAR and schools government -aided religion (SABK) and teachers and staff of Chinese private schools in Penang. Meanwhile, BKK amounting to RM200 is for tahfiz teachers, pondok teachers and Islamic kindergarten teachers (TADIS) respectively.
Apart from being a preparation to celebrate Syawal which is more meaningful this year, BKK which will involve financial implications estimated at RM7.35 million to the State Government is as a special appreciation of the Penang State Government to all civil servants who have poured all their sweat in going through the COVID pandemic. -19 before this.
