KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 – The UMNO Supreme Working Council meeting chaired by YB Dato ‘Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, UMNO President on 14 April 2022 equivalent to 12 Ramadan 1443H has made several resolutions as follows:

1. The position of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Government and Pakatan Harapan ending 31 July 2022 was decided not to continue.

2. The tabling of the Anti-Party Jumping Act must be continued and supported for approval without compromising on the call of any party that tries to thwart or even attempts to change its meaning to another form of legislation. UMNO is of the view that the Anti-Party Jumping Act must be immediately realized as a manifestation to ensure that the rights of voters are always protected and respected.

3. To implement the unanimous decision of the UMNO General Assembly 2021 proposal, a Special UMNO General Assembly will be held on 14 May 2022 (Saturday) to amend the UMNO Constitution on the party election period. On the same day, there will also be an UMNO Day Celebration and a Hari Raya Aidilfiti Banquet.

4. The UMNO Supreme Working Council also unanimously proposed that YAB Dato ‘Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob be the candidate for Prime Minister to face the next 15th General Election.
