KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 – The Langkawi International Aerospace and Maritime Exhibition (LlMA) will be held on May 23 to May 27, 2023 next year in Langkawi, Kedah after its 2021 event had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Senior Defense Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said LIMA ’23 was held following the success of the Asian Defense Services Exhibition (DSA) 2022 and the Asia National Security Exhibition (NATSEC) 2022 last March as well as Malaysia’s readiness after entering the Endemic Transition Phase.

He said so far, 600 exhibitors from 20 countries would participate in LIMA ’23 and was expected to receive 45,000 trade visitors and 380 foreign guests. According to him, the LIMA ’23 exhibition would involve air assets and maritime assets, each with 110 assets.

The number of exhibitors, countries involved, trade and public visitors, guests and assets are expected to increase, making the largest participation ever recorded, ” he said in a press conference after officiating the LIMA ’23 Exhibition Pre -Launch Ceremony at the Ministry of Defense Auditorium, here, today.
