PUTRAJAYA, August 23 – Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak made a request for the Chief Justice, Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat to withdraw from hearing the final appeal at the Federal Court here on Tuesday. Lawyer, Hisyam Teh Poh Teik as the former Prime Minister’s lead lawyer, said this during the final appeal proceedings to set aside the conviction and fine imposed on Najib in relation to the embezzlement of SRC International Sdn Bhd Company funds.

Also sitting was a panel of four judges, namely the Chief Justice of Sabah and Sarawak, Tan Sri Datuk Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim and three Federal Court Judges, Datuk Nallini Pathmanathan, Datuk Mary Lim Thiam Suan and Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah.
