KUALA LUMPUR, September 7 – Due to overwhelming response to Ungu’s upcoming KL concert, the band has now added a second show on November 18th. Tickets for the second show will officially go on sale via www.ticket2U.com.my starting on September 7th, 12 Noon.T he response from fans has been overwhelming. Over 85% of the tickets were grabbed up in the first hour when we launched the ticket sale on August 30th.
This well-loved band has again proven their popularity and by adding the 2ndshow we hope to cheer disappointed fans who couldn’t get tickets earlier.’ said the organiser. Acclaimed for soul-stirring singing , Ungu was founded in 1996 comprising vocalist Pasha, guitarists Enda and Oncy, bassist Makki, and drummer Rowman. In 2005, Ungu’s zealous album ‘Melayang’ was well-received as a huge success, which put them on the list of international superstars and gained tremendous popularity in Indonesia and across Asia.
They were nominated for the ‘Best Music Group’ in MTV Asia Music Awards the same year. In 2015, Ungu released their 7th studio album ‘Mozaik’, which sold more than 200,000 copies, and won a platinum recording award. After garnering massive popularity in Indonesia, the band also successfully forge their name into the mainstream music scene in Malaysia. Their popular hits include ‘Demi Waktu’, ‘Tercipta Untukku’, ‘Andai Ku Tahu’, ‘Kekasih Gelapku’ and many more.
Organised by Star Planet, this much-awaited comeback concert is slated at the Star Convention Center, Menara PGRM Kuala Lumpur on 18th and 19th November 2022 at 8:30pm in conjunction with the band’s 26th anniversary in showbiz.
