BERA, September 12 – The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Sunday said that he has not discussed with UMNO’s ‘Top Five’ regarding the date of the 15th General Election (GE15). UMNO’s ‘Top Five’ refers to the President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Deputy President, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and the three Vice Presidents, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and the Prime Minister himself.

He said, after discussing with the ‘Top Five’, only then will he discuss with the MCA and MIC parties as well as other BN component parties then it needs to be brought to the cabinet because under the Constitution, there must be cabinet approval before I go to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah to get approval to dissolve Parliament. That’s the procedure that needs to be followed.
