KUALA LUMPUR, September 12 – IKEA and Swedish House Mafia are teaming up to explore music and creativity at home and make life easier for those who create, perform, play, or listen to music. Inspired by the beats of electronic dance music and minimalist yet functional solutions, the OBEGRÄNSAD collection is designed to allow many rising creatives in music and digital arts to build the ideal home studio at an affordable price.

The OBEGRÄNSAD collection, which translates as “unlimited” in Swedish, is aimed at anyone who values music experiences at home and beyond: music fans, music producers, DJs, and all creators with limited resources but unlimited creativity. The advancement of technology has enabled musical democracy, and the collection seeks to support the creative endeavours of the many people who create, perform, and enjoy music at home. The collection is inspired by the band’s insights about the needs of those starting up their music or creative career.

“We have admired IKEA’s approach to making things affordable and accessible to a wide range of people since we were children.” “We used to find creative ways to make IKEA furniture to accommodate our teenage lives as creatives, so the collaboration’s purpose was formed around our own personal life journey,” Swedish House Mafia says.

This collection primarily aims to connect those who have a limited budget but limitless creativity including music creators, artists, and music lovers. IKEA also aims to find solutions to the problems that many music fans face and to democratize home music production, allowing many people to express their passions and creativity.

The trio, made up of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, are releasing a 20-piece joint collection with IKEA. Stay tuned and check out the IKEA.my for more details on the full range and pricing will be revealed leading up to the official launch in Malaysia this October 2022!
