IPOH, September 12 – The Hong Kong born pilot that been identified as Captain Richard Chan, 58 who was reported missing after the Eurocopter EC120B helicopter crashed in Chikus Forest Reserve has found dead at the scene of the incident after the helicopter lost contact with theKuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Center (KLATCC) yesterday said Perak police chief Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri during a press conference at the Bidor Police Station here.
Mohd Yusri said the body of a helicopter pilot who went missing yesterday, was taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Ipoh for an autopsy after being flown from the scene using a helicopter. It is learnt that during the rescue mission, the pilot lost consciousness. The helicopter type/model is a Eurocopter EC120B, with registration marking N409HH operated by Heli Outpost Sdn Bhd.
